How to Reach Mansarovar
Delhi-Kailash Mansarovar 1,300 Km Approx (Journey by flight)
The flights are not available from Delhi to Lhasa. The tourists have to book a flight from Delhi International air base to Tribhuvan international airport located in Kathmandu (Nepal) which hardly takes 1 hour 30 minutes to reach. Now, tourists need to take a flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa in just 1 hour 30 minutes.
Delhi-Kailash Mansarovar (Journey by bus)
The bus journey from Delhi to Kathmandu which takes 22 hours to cover. The tourists also can take a car to reach Mount Kailash. No bus services are available from Kathmandu to Mount Kailash, therefore we advise for rental cars.
Then cross the Nepal and China border via the Gyirong port.
For the comfort of the travelers, recently the government worked on a new road project. Now the two viable routes exist:
Delhi-Kailash Mansarovar (Journey by train)
A Direct route from Delhi to Tibet by train is unavailable. Hence, it is advised to board a train from Delhi to Gorakhpur. The whole journey takes 11 hours and 30 minutes to complete 822 km. Once the tourists reach Gorakhpur, take a bus for Kathmandu.
There is not a proper route from Nepal to Tibet by train, the only one option is Shigatse train station which is 50 km far from the border. The bus route from
Gorakhpur to Kathmandu needs 12 hours to cover. You can also travel by flight or the road journey depends on your budget.
Kailash Mansarovar route via Uttarakhand
The tour begins from Delhi by road. This journey can more easily continue from Tanakpur or Kathgodam for Kailash Mansarovar via Dharchula-Tawaghat – Lipulekh Darma and Johar Valleys.
